The mission of the College of Human Ecology is to prepare futureexperts who will become leaders in the field of clothing, food, and interiorthrough researching individual and family lives scientifically.
Student research and learn theories, practical skills, and knowledgerelated to clothing, food, interior environment in order to attain betterquality of life for individuals, family and society. Every yearstudents host the 'HECO Festival' which includes, a graduation fashionshow and performance by the Clothing and Textiles program, an academicseminar on the latest foods by the Food and Nutrition program and agraduation exhibition by the Interior Architecture Design program.
Alumni from the college currently hold their positions as professors,teachers, fashion designers, fashion merchandisers, nutritionist, foodresearchers, interior designers, and interior architecture engineers andplay important roles in the society.

The college has over 50 years of academic excellence, blending the traditionsof practical education with a sense of creativity. In the College of HumanEcology, there are three majors, Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition,and Interior Architecture Design. The college consists of about 20full-time professors, 600 undergraduate students (including about 80international students) and 150graduate students (including master anddoctorate degree students).
